About PhilMicTEEN

Equipping Called Leaders. Empowering the Church.

Jesus declared, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37, ESV). In response to this urgent call, the Philippine-Micronesia Theological Education by Extension for Nazarenes (PhilMicTEEN) program exists to raise well-trained, Spirit-filled leaders who will serve God faithfully in the Church of the Nazarene—pastors, missionaries, church workers, and committed laypersons.

The PhilMicTEEN Program of Central Philippine Nazarene College (CPNC) provides accessible, field-based ministerial education for individuals who sense God’s call but are unable to attend full-time programs at Bible colleges or seminaries.

In partnership with Philippine Nazarene College (PNC), Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS), and Nazarene districts across the Philippine-Micronesia Field, the program offers flexible learning through mini-residency, online, and modular formats—allowing students to prepare for ministry right where God has placed them.

Academic Authority & Oversight

Central Philippine Nazarene College (CPNC) serves as the academic, theological, and administrative authority over all PhilMicTEEN programs within its designated educational zones. This ensures quality, consistency, and integrity aligned with institutional and Church of the Nazarene standards.

CPNC Responsibilities

Curriculum Development

All course content is developed, approved, and monitored to ensure academic and theological soundness.

Faculty Approval

Instructors are vetted for doctrinal alignment and professional qualifications.

Academic Records

CPNC maintains all student records and issues official credentials.

Assessment & Credentialing

Evaluations and academic awards are centrally managed for consistency.

Role of Districts

Districts function as extension centers, not independent institutions. Their responsibilities include student recruitment, logistics, faculty recommendations, record-keeping, fee collection, and local implementation of courses based on approved syllabi.

Each district appoints a PhilMicTEEN Coordinator to ensure alignment with CPNC standards.

Quality Assurance & Supervision

CPNC deploys an Education by Extension Coordinator (EEC) to oversee implementation across district centers.

  • Program oversight across all extension centers
  • Church partnerships and promotion
  • Student development and faculty supervision
  • Logistics, training, and reporting
  • Contextual application with academic rigor

Regular site visits, faculty training, and evaluations ensure continuous improvement and program effectiveness.

This structure aligns with ICOSAC guidelines, affirming that ministerial education must remain under accredited institutions.

Through this model, all PhilMicTEEN programs remain official academic offerings of CPNC, maintaining the same standards and policies as on-campus programs.
