Instructor & Assistant Instructor Guidelines

Selection criteria, qualifications, and institutional procedures

Instructor

1. Criteria for Selection

  • A Master’s degree, or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Ordained elders are preferred.
  • Active involvement in ministry or related profession.
  • Graduates of recognized institutions.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in the related field.

2. Procedure for Instructor Relations

  1. Prospective instructors are recommended by the PhilMicTEEN District Coordinator and the District Ministerial Studies Board, then endorsed to the District Advisory Board.
  2. The District Advisory Board endorses candidates to Central Philippine Nazarene College (CPNC) for approval and certification.
  3. CPNC enters into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with approved instructors.
  4. CPNC facilitates performance assessment and ongoing training.

Assistant Instructor

1. Criteria for Selection

  • Bachelor of Arts in Theology (ABTh), Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education (ABRE), or equivalent; ministry experience may be considered in lieu of formal credentials.
  • Ordained elders are preferred.
  • Active involvement in ministry or related profession.
  • Graduates of recognized institutions.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in the related field.

2. Procedure for Assistant Instructor Relations

  1. Prospective assistant instructors are recommended by the PhilMicTEEN District Coordinator and District Ministerial Studies Board, then endorsed to the District Advisory Board.
  2. The District Advisory Board endorses candidates to CPNC for approval and certification.
  3. CPNC enters into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with approved assistant instructors.
  4. Approved assistant instructors team-teach at least one subject with an experienced instructor for orientation and training.
  5. CPNC facilitates performance assessment and training.
