Central Philippine Nazarene College came alive as students, faculty members, and alumni gathered for one of the most anticipated events of the year, the Madasigon Sports Fest 2026. For two days, the usual rhythm of campus life gave way to the thunder of cheers, the squeak of shoes on the court, and the unwavering determination of every player.
More than a battle for medals and certificates, the event became a celebration of strength, teamwork, fellowship, and the vibrant spirit that unites the CPNC community. At the heart of the competition stood two societies ready to give their all: the Light Bearers and the Soul Seekers, along with the two teams in the Basic Education Department: The Conquerors and the Overcomers.
From students facing fellow students to faculty members and alumni taking on their own matchups, every game carried a different kind of excitement. The competition was intense, but beyond every victory and defeat was a shared desire to represent one's society with pride and the true spirit of Madasigon.
On August 27, 2026, the first day of the Sports Fest opened with energy that quickly spread across the campus.
Cheers echoed as both societies went head-to-head in Larong Pinoy, Volleyball, Badminton, and Basketball. Players displayed skill, determination, and teamwork as spectators passionately supported their respective teams.
As the games unfolded, the Soul Seekers gained momentum, emerging dominant in several competitions. Their winning streak continued as they also claimed victory in the Mr. and Ms. Sports Fest Madasigon 2026.
Yet, the competition was far from over.
The second day, August 28, brought even more excitement.
With renewed energy, the Light Bearers and Soul Seekers returned to continue their battles in Badminton, Volleyball, and Basketball, while other participants took on challenges in Track and Field, Biblelympics, and various Board Games.
The intensity grew with every match.
The Light Bearers fought back with greater determination, proving that the competition was not simply about who stood ahead on the scoreboard. Every participant whether student, faculty member, or alumnus continued to embody the Madasigon spirit through perseverance, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Still, the Soul Seekers maintained their momentum and dominance throughout much of the competition.
When the final results were announced, the Soul Seekers emerged as the overall champions of the Madasigon Sports Fest 2026.
The victory belonged to the Soul Seekers, but the celebration belonged to the entire CPNC community.
In a meaningful display of sportsmanship, the Light Bearers responded with applause and congratulations for their fellow competitors. The moment served as a reminder that while the two societies may compete under different banners, they remain part of one family.
For two days, the campus witnessed more than powerful serves, fast breaks, determined sprints, and strategic plays. It witnessed friendships strengthened, talents discovered, and a community brought together through the games they love.
The Madasigon Sports Fest 2026, was facilitated by the SBO Council, offered the CPNC community a meaningful break from academic routines and an opportunity to celebrate unity through healthy competition.
Indeed, the Light Bearers and Soul Seekers brought color, energy, and life to the campus.
As the cheers gradually faded and the courts became quiet, the spirit of being Madasigon remained alive in the hearts of everyone who participated.
Through every game played, challenge faced, and victory celebrated, the CPNC community was reminded to give its best, not merely for recognition, but ultimately for the Lord and with the Lord.
In the end, those medals and certificates may belong to the champions, but the spirit of fellowship belongs to everyone.
Light Bearers, Soul Seekers, Conquerors, or Overcomers, whether competitors or spectators, one truth remains certain: together, we are CPNC, united by one unwavering spirit to remain Madasigon.
