CPNC Faculty and Staff Ignite “Momentum” Through Three-Day Team Building and Fellowship

May 18, 2026

Central Philippine Nazarene College faculty and staff set aside classrooms, offices, and daily routines last May 13–15, 2026, to strengthen relationships, renew their shared mission, and build unity during the institution’s annual team-building activity carrying the theme, “Momentum: Moving Forward as One CPNC Family.”

The three-day gathering combined leadership development, spiritual reflection, collaborative activities, and fellowship, creating an atmosphere that organizers described as both refreshing and mission-driven as the institution prepares for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026.

The activity opened on campus with an inspirational session centered on becoming transformational educators and staff. Participants were introduced to the “Six Tools of Becoming Transformational Teachers and Staff,” a framework designed to reinforce the college’s commitment to academic excellence, Christian formation, and interdisciplinary integration.

The discussion reflected the institution’s vision of becoming “a leading institution of excellent Christian education and creative interdisciplinary integration,” while reaffirming its mission of “mentoring every generation of transformational leaders through quality holistic education and exemplary Christ-centered life that influence the church and the global community.”

Faculty and staff members were then grouped into three teams, each presenting lively and creative group yells that immediately energized the gathering and fostered a spirit of camaraderie. Laughter, cheers, and friendly competition filled the campus as participants engaged in interactive activities facilitated by Sir Leo Mahanlud.

The games and exercises were intentionally designed not only for entertainment but also to strengthen communication, trust, teamwork, and collaboration among employees across different departments of the institution.

The following day, participants traveled to HR Beach Resort in Moalboal, Cebu, where the team-building experience continued in a more relaxed setting. Surrounded by Moalboal’s crystal-clear waters and scenic coastal atmosphere, faculty and staff enjoyed moments of fellowship, recreation, and adventure that further deepened relationships within the CPNC community.

More than simply a recreational getaway, the activity became a meaningful opportunity for the institution’s personnel to pause, reconnect, and prepare themselves mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for the demands of the upcoming academic year.

One of the most meaningful moments of the gathering came during the devotional sessions, where participants were reminded that genuine and lasting momentum cannot be sustained apart from God. Sir Leo Mahanlud emphasized that unity, humility, and dependence on the Lord remain essential foundations as CPNC continues pursuing its mission of Christ-centered education.

The faculty described the event as a timely reminder that strong institutions are built not only through systems and strategies, but also through healthy relationships, shared vision, and spiritual alignment.

As the new school year approaches, the faculty and staff of Central Philippine Nazarene College return to campus with renewed energy, stronger unity, and a collective commitment to move forward together as one CPNC family.
